STRENGTHENING YOUR PRESENTATION SKILLS

People buy people first, and then they buy our ideas, products, services, plans and strategies. Leaders persuade others through their ability to effectively communicate. Although good communicators are not usually born that way, communication is skill that can be learned.

Course Description & Outline
This course will teach participants how to:

  • Set objectives for their presentations.
  • How to be more relaxed when presenting.
  • Understand the impact of non-verbal communication (facial and hand gestures)
  • Exude more confidence when speaking.
  • How to use voice tone, projection and inflection to maintain audience interest.
  • Employ 10 tips for more powerful presentations.
  • Effectively use graphics (overheads, slides, handouts), and technology
  • Be an effective facilitator
  • Know whether, when, and how to write out a speech, and the importance of rehearsing.

Participants will have several opportunities to present during the two-day workshop and to prepare and use graphics and technology.

The course can be delivered at either the beginning (Less than 2 years of experience), intermediate (3 - 5 years of experience) or advanced level (more than 5 years of experience).
